The Laguna Lachuá National Park is a cenote in Guatemala (natural pit or sinkhole filled with water). It is located in the rainforest of Coban, has a circular shape and is probably a flooded sinkhole. A place was created as a national park in 1976, covers an area of 145 square km, in which more than 220 species of plants and 210 species of mammals and birds live.
Laguna Lachuá is listed and protected inside the RAMSAR Convention, which gives special protection due to the biodiversity of wetlands.
